Call for Papers and Instructions for Abstract Submission
AES Issues Forum
Roanoke, Virginia, August 18-19, 2010

The organizers of the Aquacultural Engineering Society’s 2010 Issues Forum are seeking abstracts for papers to be presented during the Forum’s three sessions, which cover the following topics: the nature and uses of Biofloc in aquacultural systems (half day, August 18), Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) in RAS (half day, August 18), and Marine Recirculating aquaculture systems (full day, August 19)

Full papers will appear in the Forum proceedings. To submit your abstract for consideration, contact the moderators for the individual sessions:

For consideration, abstracts must be received by Friday, March 19, 2010. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by March 31, 2010 and will receive detailed instructions for submission of the full paper. Final manuscripts must be submitted by April 16, 2010. Proceedings will be available at the Forum.

Abstract Guidelines

  1. Abstracts should be concise; between 250-500 words (roughly one typewritten page).
  2. Use single spacing, 12 pt font, and allow 2.5 cm (1 inch) for left and right margins.
  3. Titles should also be concise but clearly relate the subject of the article.
  4. Include the name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliation(s) and address(es).
  5. Submit your abstract by email to your session moderator no later than March 19, 2010.

Paste the abstract into the body of the email message; DO NOT SEND AS AN ATTACHMENT.
